Data Model:

The various information systems in the world have to refine and store data in the best

way possible. When ant type of information is processed, it becomes data and can be stored in

various databases. The Wild Woods Company is not left out in the process of utilizing its

database to store important information about either its tenants or residents. Within the

databases, the data is modeled. The process of modeling entails the classification and

simplification of the data to come up with more organized data sets. There are various methods

that can be used to do that. One of these is the use of the Visio Diagrams. Others include the use

of the Entity Relationship Diagrams, in addition to the other methods. The Wild Woods makes

use of various data models in its database and that leads to easy work when it comes to the

storage and retrieval of the information.

Enterprise Data Model:

The use of the enterprise database model is evident in the Wild Wood Apartments. The

data in the company has been well organized within the database and the residents are in a

position to store and access the stored data with a lot of ease. The model EDM has got several

functions in a database. One of these is that it can be utilized in the comparison of various data

on different individuals of tenants in the case of Wild Wood Apartments Company. The fact that

the Wood Apartments would like to have significant changes in their database calls for a better

EDM in the company. When writing the paper, my major emphasis was on the tenants of the

company. Because of that, I visualized the various ways in which the database of great assistance

to the tenants of the company. Most of the tenants of the Wild Woods Company have access to

the database and can perform several tasks by use of the database.

DATA MODEL 3

The enterprise data model of the company is unique n that the tenants can perform

several tasks when using it. One of these tasks involves the process of registration and paying the

relevant fees to the Wild Woods Company. The tenants only pay through the bank and feed the

serial numbers of the receipts to the database and the information is reflected into the system. Ina

position, the tenants are in a position to change their contact information, or any other

information at any given time. All the records about the clients can be easily updated by use of

the EDM.

When the database will be changed and a new system developed, the tenants will have

more uses of the database of Wild Woods Company. It is because it will allow for more advanced

functionalities. For instance, the tenants will be able to use passwords to access their accounts

within the company database. As such, there will be no unauthorized access to individuals

accounts.

Operating Rules:

Since Wild Wood Apartments is a big company, there must be internal controls. For

effective internal controls to take place in an organization that has several individuals accessing a

single database like Wild Woods Company there has to be some security policies and rules. That

is because of the various problems and mistakes it may be forced with. One of these is that some

clients of tenants may use the database to manipulate figures so that they do not have to pay the

rent each month. By coming up with the general authentication policies to be used in the Wild

Woods Company, the company will prevent the access to its data and will be more secure. The

tenants are not allowed to share their passwords or security codes to outsiders without the

notification of the management as that will allow individuals with ill intentions to access

unauthorized data.
