YAMASHITA’S TREASURE 2
Yamashita’s treasure
It refers to the name which used to valuables and money that was allegedly stolen by the
Japanese forces in South East Asia during the Second World War. It is believed that this money
was taken from various places which include the banks, temples, museums, churches, people’s
homes and depositories. Furthermore, this money was hidden I multiple areas such as the
tunnels, caves as well as underground complexes in the Philippines. It is named after Tomoyuki

ships, they resorted to hiding the stolen valuables and money in the Philippines.
It is believed that during the war the stole money was shipped to Japan and later used to
fund the war. The team of the special forces from the United States army revealed that the
borrowed money was hidden n Philippines (Aspnes et al., 2018). It made some of the America
forces to have an extended stay in the Philippines. The Japanese troops were defeated, and when
they surrendered, they were tortured except General Yamashita. The servicemen were tortured to
reveal the areas that the hidden treasurer was. The abused Japanese officers revealed where the
stole money, and other valuables were hidden. American forces reported having recovered
astonishing treasurer hidden in the Philippines. However, most of the people in the country, as
